It's Raining Again!

Very welcome snow in the mountains and rain in the valley here in the Sierras and Reno region. The Truckee River is flowing with much more water and hopefully will bring drought relief. Roads are closed on and off in the Sierras due to the snow. A few storms don’t count as a complete wet winter but it is off to a great start. We had wetting rains in the region back in October and you can see the vegetation starting to perk up. This link to satellite images from the October atmospheric river: Better conditions shows how much the October rains helped. I will be looking forward to images of the improved conditions as we head into next year. Looking forward to a better and wetter environment for the bees.
